This is an episode that was a tad confusing, but I’m sure by mid-season we will see how brilliantly written it truly was and how every morsel was meaningful. Betty’s conversation with her husband about Sandy was disturbing, to say the least. She mentioned rape so flippantly, like it was a normal thing. I think we will find out Betty was sexually abused and has repressed it which will bring her to some sort of crisis. Don is clearly losing his creative edge and is approaching a crisis of confidence, not to mention his own mortality and questioning of who is really dying?Don Draper or Dick Whitman? Roger is facing his own mortality as well, now being one of the elders of his family, rather than the charmed, spoiled little boy and apple of his mother’s eye. Can’t wait to see how it all unfolds.
